New York City Apartment Building Stabbing of The Week

After 64 year-old Brooklyn resident Mieczyslaw Gozde’s girlfriend dumped him, Gozde then did the next obvious thing: He drove a knife into the arm of his ex-girlfriend’s son.
Either Gozde had a case of stabber’s remorse, or wanted to hide the evidence.
Perhaps he was also feeling suicidal. He then plunged the knife into his own throat.
Both men were taken to Kings County Hospital, and are expected to recover.
We do not believe they were put up in the same room.
We hope.
The mayhem occurred at 618 Ocean Parkway, a 78-unit, 6-story prewar elevator apartment building in the Kensington section of Brooklyn.
Though Gozde is under doctor’s orders to rest his throat, police are optimistic that he could act out a confession: Gozde was captain of his high school charades team.
